1. I know how to recognize if my toddler is having an allergic reaction. aiden can eat allergenic foods now, so it’s safe to give aiden shellfish, citrus and berries. I’ll introduce these foods slowly and watch for any reactions.
2. My toddler goes back and forth between being really independent and really clingy! When we’re in a familiar place, aiden runs off to play, but in new situations, aiden stays close to me.
3. My toddler can switch to cow’s milk now. If I want, I can start replace formula or breastmilk with cow’s milk now. It’s fine for me to keep breastfeeding, too!

4. I took a few minutes this week to read through the inspirational quotes about moms that my friends are sharing on social media. I totally relate to them!
5. I dropped my baby off at daycare or with a sitter so I could have a lunch date with my partner.
6. My partner and I have talked about whether we want another baby, and we’ve talked about the timing of when we want to start trying for number two!
7. My baby turned one, and aiden is officially a toddler! Congratulations to our whole family — we made it through the first year!
1. I’ve scheduled another vaccination visit for baby. This month, aiden will get aiden’s final Hib and PCV13 doses, as well as another DTaP and another MMR. aiden will also get a dose of Hep A, and if it’s flu season, aiden will get a flu shot, too.
2. Baby took aiden’s first steps! And we caught them on camera!
3. Baby can handle a bumpier stroller ride now, so I’m investing in a jogging stroller. Now I can get baby outside while also getting myself some real exercise!

4. Baby loves sorting objects into containers. aiden is fascinated by putting things in and taking them out. I don’t even need toys these days — aiden can get completely absorbed in playing with an old baby wipes box and a few toilet paper rolls.
5. While I’m out jogging or walking with baby, I’ll take a minute to appreciate something beautiful in nature like the sunrise, sunset or a wildflower.
6. My dentist told me I can start using toothpaste on baby’s teeth, so I bought some fluoride-free toothpaste. I’ll use this until baby is old enough to learn to spit it out instead of swallowing.
7. I’ve started writing morning pages in my journal. Every morning when I first wake up, I write a page or two or draw a picture about whatever pops into my head. It’s really helping to spark my creativity!
