    Tabitha Hidalgo, I find it rises to perfection in the summer because the temperature is perfect. That's the only answer I have because my bread rises differently in every season. How does your husband not eat homemade bread? Mine loves it!

    I never thought of using boiling water to help it rise. I usually just stick in at 200 for 15-20 minutes and then jack up the temperature to 350 to bake. All the more for the rest of the family then if your hubby doesn't like it! :)
