Homemade bread...yummy in our tummies!

I love homemade bread....but hubby won't eat it, so I don't make it much. How do you get it to rise so much??? I can't get mine to rise that much.

Tabitha Hidalgo, I find it rises to perfection in the summer because the temperature is perfect. That's the only answer I have because my bread rises differently in every season. How does your husband not eat homemade bread? Mine loves it!

Last time I made it I put it in the oven with boiling water to rise in the pans and that helped a lot, but it still didn't raise that much. LOL He just doesn't like it. I've heard everything from the taste is different to I slice it too thick. But I at least have a bakery outlet I can get cheap bread at. I used to hate it, too. But I like it now.

I never thought of using boiling water to help it rise. I usually just stick in at 200 for 15-20 minutes and then jack up the temperature to 350 to bake. All the more for the rest of the family then if your hubby doesn't like it! :)

I tried that once and it didn't work so well. The kids love it. If I have some made, they want that for a snack.
