Baby breast lumps: when to see a doctor?

Message length 300 characters recommended

It is normal for newborn boys and girls to have swollen breast tissue beneath their nipple. They may even leak a small amount of milk our of their nipples. This is caused by the hormones from the mother being passed to the baby in the womb. Within a few weeks swollen breast tissue will go down to normal. If you baby has lumps that wont go away or appear later you can let your doctor know at the baby's next check up, it is most like nothing to be concerned about.
