Usually a lump in the neck is just a swollen lymph node. Swollen lymph nodes are most commonly caused by an infection or virus. Generally swollen lymph nodes are a normal part of the immune system and nothing to be concerned about. If the lump seems painful to your baby or gets bigger and doesn't go away after a few days you should have your doctor check it out.
