Staying calm can be really easy, if you look to your relationship with this man as your business partner. You both may not agree, you both may be completely different but ultimately you need to trust that you both love your child(ren) and are doing the best of your abilities.

In a non-abusive divorce/single Mom scenario you need to parent the child to the best of your ability, love then unconditionally and do not allow them to see you hate their father. If they have a father who is a really not-so-nice person, eventually kids will figure that out.

I had to come to the realization that I wasn't going to get anywhere with him if I was constantly arguing with him.

I stay calm daily by putting my trust in God that He'll watch over my daughter while she's at her dad's and that no serious harm will come to her because if it ever did, he'd never see her again.

I also try to take it easy as a parent. I don't want to be overbearing as a parent.
