There's hardly a young child I've met that doesn't like music of any kind. Music gets your toes tappin', your body groovin', and your head shakin'. It's a mood lifter and sure to turn any frown upside down.

Preschool songs are not only catchy, they're educational as well. Children learn by repetition and when that repetition is set to music, it's even easier. Ask any preschool child to say the alphabet and they'll probably start singing the alphabet song.

Other songs like nursery rhymes (such as Ring Around the Rosie and London Bridge) and counting songs also encourage physical play. Sometimes children don't even realize they're learning when they keep hearing and singing the same songs over and over.
