Some children are sensitive to certain things in their diet. The sensitivity may mimic or exacerbate behaviors that are also seen in children with ADHD.

The Feingold diet isn't really a diet, it is more an idea for eliminating common food sensitivities to see if it helps with behavior. The ones that are usually eliminated are those containing artificial colors, artificial flavors and aspartame.

While there are no conclusive studies to state that it has been proven to help, it may in certain cases. There is absolutely nothing wrong with trying the elimination diet,or Feingold diet to see if it helps your own child.
