Using DHA to treat Autism

Message length 300 characters recommended

There are no studies that have been peer reviewed and duplicated that indicate DHA is a way to treat autism. Therefore, if you choose to supplement your childs diet with this do so strictly as a supplement, not as a "cure" or treatment regimen.

That said, many American children do not get DHA in sufficient amounts in their diet. The best source of it is in fish and seafood, which the average American child does not eat a substantial amount of. If you would like to add DHA supplements to your childs diet consult your pediatrician.
