Some mucous is normal. Large amounts of mucous can be an indication of a food allergy or an infection. Dairy is often a common cause of mucous in a baby's stool. If you baby is showing any other signs or symptoms of GI upset it might be a good idea to cut dairy out of your diet for a few weeks and see if that helps your baby.
