Teething rings are all generally considered safe now since BPA has become a well-known issue and companies have stopped using it. That said, I preferred to not use plastic teethers. I chose to use wood teethers (those specifically for teething) and frozen washcloths. Both of those were much better for my kids that the plastic ones.

If you find a teether that is BPA free, you should be okay to give it to your baby. Just make sure you are giving them something that has been manufactured for teething and not some random plastic toy to chew on.
