Bleeding during pregnancy first trimester

Message length 300 characters recommended

Vaginal bleeding is common during the first trimester but not normal. Any bleeding should be evaluated by your doctor. There are many causes of bleeding, some are serious such as miscarriage, and other causes are minor such as a vaginal infection.

Any bright red bleeding should be reported to your doctor. Pain, cramping, and any other symptoms should be noted and reported as well.

If you experience bleeding it is best to stay calm. It can be scary but it doesn't always mean miscarriage.
