It could but it may not. My daughter was able to eat any formula I gave her with no changes. My son however is not the same. It can make them constipated or give them diarrhea till their system adjusts. In addition to that it could also change the color and frequency of their bowel movements as well. For example my son started on enfamil infant, was having bowel movements multiple times a day but was having problems with painful gas. He was switched to enfamil gentlease, gas is no longer an issue but he know only goes once a day, and sometimes not at all. He's been using the gentlease now for about 2 months so I know it's a complete change, not just an adjustment period.

It is possible, it can be an adjustment to their system when you change formulas. It can make them constipated or give them diarrhea until they get used to it. To make it easier for them to switch do it gradualy and mix some of the old with the new for a few days.
