How does caffeine affect my breast milk?

When caffeine enters your bloodstream, a small amount of it (usually less than 1 percent) ends up in your breast milk. The amount in your milk peaks a couple of hours after you consume it. Try to have less than 300 mg (16 ounces) other wise you and your baby may be irritable and jittery. I have a cup of coffee in the morning before noon, and try not to consume things with caffiene in it.
