How to treat chronic ear infections in children?

If you suspect your child may have an ear infection, you must have them seen by the pediatrician. They'll look in your child's ears and depending on your child's age, may prescribe an antibiotic or recommend a wait and see approach for the next 48-72 hours after the symptoms began. Should your child complain of discomfort, the pediatrician will probably suggest some pain relief medication such as Infant or Children's Tylenol or Ibuprofen, or some ear drops.
