Take your time. There's no reason to rush when conceiving after a miscarriage. Let yourself, and that of your partner, heal--mind and body. As hard as it may be, try not to stress because it is neither healthy nor helpful for trying to conceive. Other than that, do it just as you normally would, charting, frequent sex, prenatals, etc.

when I had my follow up appointment with my doctor after I had my miscarriage with my third child, she told me to wait for 3 months before I tried to get pregnant again and that I could continue to take my prenatal vitamins.

I would definitely talk to your doctor. I as well had problems conceiving and keeping the pregnancy going. After two miscarriages my doctor put me on progesterone suppositories. It helped me and I know many other women. I know it hurts.
