If you are breastfeeding you should squirt some breastmilk into your infants eye every couple of hours. The breastmilk has antibodies that can actually kill the infection and heal the eye.

Keep the eye clean and wipe it multiple times a day. If the eye is crusty a warm compress can help remove the crust and reduce swelling. Make sure you don't accidentally spread the infection from one eye to the other.

If the infection doesn't clear up after a day or two go to your doctor for some prescription antibiotic eye drops.
