White vinegar! You can buy a big gallon jug meant for cleaning for super cheap and you can use it for just about everything. It works on floors, counters, toilets.... Just about any hard surface except wood.

For ultra tough stains, add baking soda first.

As for wood and leather, olive oil (or virgin coconut if you like the smell!) and lemon juice works just as well as Pledge, but none of the chemicals.

I use watered down vinegar. Apple cider vinegar works great for getting grease off. The kids can clean as much as they want and I don't have to worry about it hurting them. Sometimes i put a few drops of lavender essential oil to make things smell pretty.

There are some things I still buy in the store but I make a lot at home using safer products like vinegar, baking soda, salt, lemons, etc. We always have a gallon or two of plain white distilled vinegar hanging around the house. Vinegar and water in a spray bottle is a great all purpose cleaner and adding a few drops of essential oil can help if the smell of vinegar bothers you.
