So as a first time mom I wanted to read every book I could , online sites were not big when I had my first ( ok I feel old now) . So I would read everything I could get my hands on . With each pregnancy following my first I would pull out those books again and refresh all of that info but it would be less and less with each pregnancy . By the time I had my last I don't think I even opened a book expect the baby name one . I tracked things online and still liked to see the weekly development of my baby.

The most helpful books for me and the ones I think every soon to be for the first time parents should own is Mayo Clinics Pregnancy and First year and What To Expect When You're Expecting / What To Expect The First Year. They prepared me for so much and explained things with out me constantly having to contact my doctor.

I love my Sally Clarkson books because I find them a great source of encouragement and inspiration to me as a mother. They guided me through a lot of self-doubt I encountered as a young mother.

I brought "What to Expect When You're Expecting" and "Great Expectations: A Pregnancy Journey", which was given to me at a birthing class we attended.

I did find them useful because the books answered some questions, which helped to ease my mind a bit.
