How can I safely manage panic attacks while I am pregnant?

Pregnancy can be a very emotionally vulnerable time. Many women will experience mild panic attacks due to the huge changes going on. If you are having minor panic attacks I suggest talking about your fears with your partner or another loved one. Try to calm down and relax by closing your eyes and taking slow deep breaths. Make your body completely relaxed by tensing each muscle group and then release the tension. If the panic attacks are severe be sure to talk to your doctor about it and they can talk about the risks and benefits of taking medication.
