Healthy drinks are an easy way to get nutrients into your kids. Even picky eaters will find it hard to resist these tasty drinks. Another great thing about drinks is that most recipe are pretty versatile so you can add fruits, veggies, wheat germ, protein powder, yogurt or other nutritious ingredients.
To make banana smoothies, you’ll need 2 bananas, 2 cup of milk, ¼ cup of water, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, and 8 ice cubes. In a blender, combine bananas and milk. Pulse until bananas are chopped. Pour in water and brown sugar. Blend until smooth. Toss in the ice cubes and blend until smooth. Pour into 4 glasses and serve immediately.
To make a quick berry milkshake, you’ll need 4 ½ cups of ice cubes, 2 cubs of milk, 1/3 cup of white sugar, 2 cups of frozen mixed berries and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Fill the blender 3/4 full of ice cubes. Pour in the milk, sugar, berries and vanilla. Blend until smooth.
To make a watermelon cooler, puree 3 cups of cubed, seeded watermelon, 2 sprigs of peppermint with the leaves plucked off, 2 teaspoons of honey, and 10 ice cubes in a blender until smooth.
