Mild engorgement is normal when you milk first comes in. I recommend breastfeeding your baby every two hours or more frequently if your baby wants it. Frequent feedings will help relieve engorgement.

When dealing with severe engorgement try putting cool packs on your breasts in 10 minute intervals. You can also put cabbage leaves on your breasts. Wear a well fitted bra.
