The temperature of the bath water for a baby should be around 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The best way to test the water is with your elbow. It should feel warm to the touch but not too hot.

I have trouble testing the water myself because I like extreme temperatures so I use one of the bath thermometers that tells you when the water is a good temperature. My husband doesn't need to use the thermometer.
