Ginger Ale (Canada Dry Brand only). Crackers (saltines or Ritz). Also some fiber, something with fiber in it. Usually that will help toddler with upset stomach and diarrhea.

One home remedy that did work for my kids my aunt told me this one... Dark Karo syrup (roughly about a teaspoon) and the rest water in an hour oz bottle.

If a toddler has an upset stomach and diarrhea, it's best to limit their food intake so their digestive system has a chance to settle. Try giving them small sips of Pedialyte, flat ginger ale or water every few minutes. Milk is not a good idea since it can make an upset stomach worse.

If they're hungry and able to eat, stick to bland foods like crackers or bread. The BRAT diet (bananas/rice/applesauce/toast) works well when followed for a day or two.

You also want to look for signs of dehydration (decreased or dark urine, sunken eyes, dry mouth). If there are any, you must call the pediatrician who may tell you to take your child to the ER.
