Genital warts are a sexually transmitted disease. During pregnancy the warts can not pass to your baby. Your baby is protects in the amniotic sac and your cervix is closed and sealed shut with a plug of mucous. If you have visible warts during the time of delivery your doctor may recommend a c-section delivery to reduce the risk of exposing your baby to the disease. If you do not have an outbreak or visible warts then a vaginal delivery is generally considered safe. It is important to talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of your options.
