If you get a headache during pregnancy it is safe to take Tylenol to help with the pain . I always tried to not take medications I didn't absolutely have to take so I would sometimes use a warm or cold pack on my neck or over my eyes depending on what the headache may be caused by . Try to lay and close your eyes and rest or take a nap. Peppermint essential oil helps also . I massage a few drops on my temples and it helps a lot .


Headaches are very common in pregnancy and are usually nothing to worry about. However, some women suffer from migraine attacks that can leave them quit debilitated. If you are suddenly experiencing severe headache, report them to your doctor or midwife promptly. Severe headaches in pregnancy can be a sign that your blood pressure is too high. Your doctor will be able to suggest some safe remedies.

Try to get enough sleep, reduce stress, and may be try this essential oil massage:
1 tablespoon carrier oil (almond, apricot, olive)

3 to 5 drops peppermint essential oil

Preparation and Use: Add oils to a clean, small jar. Cover tightly with a lid. Shake until combined.

Massage into sore areas: neck, shoulders, jaw, temples. Take care not to touch your eyes. When finished, lie down in a quiet place with your eyes shut.
