UTI in a toddler: why it occurs?

Add your advice here…
Message length 300 characters recommended

Most UTIs in children are caused by bacteria that enter
the urethra and travel up the urinary tract. Bacteria
that normally live in the large intestine and are present
in stool are the most common cause of the infection.

The ways that bacteria buildup can occur include:

-Not properly wiping the bottom after a bowel movement
-Not completely emptying the bladder, which causes bacteria
to build up in the urine.
