It's easy for children to become overstimulated. Sometimes parent don't realize it's happening and chalk it up to a tantrum.

Some early signs of overstimulation can include silence, thumb sucking, or chewing. If you see danger signs such as playing alone, stimming, or loud talking, you'll need to take immediate action. If a meltdown occurs, you'll know it by the screaming, lashing out, or lack of appetite.

You can help diffuse the situation by redirecting, using aromatherapy, or incorporating special music or a movie.
