Permanent tooth growing in behind baby tooth: need to be pulled?

Talk to the dentist about it. My daughter had her baby teeth and adult teeth for two months before the baby teeth fell out. A dental assistant friend told me they usually only wait for a month, but the baby teeth will usually fall out by themself.


The ones that say leave it alone say that it will naturally move forward once the baby tooth eventually comes out, and if you have the tooth pulled too soon, it will damage the root of the baby tooth and cause problems with the permanent tooth.

The ones that say have it pulled state that if you let the shark tooth go too long, then it will never be straight and will require braces to pull it back forward...
