I think I've always had a good sense of humor, it just became even more so with my son and daughter both having Autism. I think the only way to get through the day at times as a mother, with or without autistic children, is to laugh at things

I don't think we ever really SAID to Brenden that he has speech apraxia or hypotonia.

We've always explained that he needs therapy to help him do things better, or so we can understand him and what he's talking about.

Maybe it's because we started therapy so young (at 13 months old) that even if we did tell him and try to explain it, it wouldn't really "stick". Now at 8, going to therapy is just a way of life.
