Body Basal Temperature (BBT) Charting
You may use a BBT chart to help determine when you are ovulating. Also, you may share your BBT charts with your doctor to help diagnosis potential causes of infertility, like irregular ovulation. It is recommended that you take your BBT at 7 o’clock every morning, before you’ve gotten out of bed.
Ovulation home tests (ovulation predictor kit)
The home test detects a rise in the luteinizing hormone (LH) in the urine. A rise in this hormone signals the ovary to release the egg. They are used in the same way as pregnancy tests, but you need to collect your urine between 10am and 8pm every day.
Follicle monitoring (ultrasound monitoring)
It is well accepted that a transvaginal ultrasound is the “gold standard” when it comes to ovulation prediction. An ultrasound is performed every 2-3 says, and a doctor can then determine the day of your ovulation with high accuracy.
