Oh dear lord...

Hunter, my brother's son...I believe he is having seperation issues from Bailey. Bailey just left to go get her work schedule and he is freaking out! I'm trying to calm him down, but all I seem to do is making it worse...

Awww....can you divert his attention to a toy, a book, a children's movie or show? Play peek-a-boo or something he likes?

I have tried, he doesn't want anything to do with me. I have been trying all day to get him to pay attention to me. He is more attentive to my eighteen year old daughter. She was been feeding him, bathing him, playing with him since I have had custody of him. I try to do what she does, he hates it.

At least he's finding comfort in someone. I wouldn't be offended and I'd keep trying and hopefully he'll come around to finding comfort in you too when he sees you love and care for him as much as Bailey. I think the important thing is for him to feel comfortable, even if it is with your daughter. It doesn't make it any easier for you, but eventually he'll see you are there for him when Bailey is working etc.
