DIY Cleaning Products

I know there has been a huge influx of recipes for homemade, natural cleaners.

My personal favorite is blue dawn and white cleaning vinegar mixed in a spray bottle. It seriously cuts through everything, especially in the kitchen and is so cheap. I do about a 3:1 ratio vinegar to dawn.

Also, a bit of fabric softener and water in a spray bottle... Shake it up. Febreze for pennies.

Any ladies tried any good recipes?

Sweet! I use baking soda for a lot of things, but never tried it for dishes. In the dishwasher or the sink?

Mine actually does. It's something that bugs him. He's always been good about cleaning the sink after he shaves too. But the toilet.......he's not quite so good about cleaning the toilet. Though he did give the boys a lesson on toilet cleaning this past week! Eeks.....the boys toilet was scary downstairs in the basement! Good thing they were the only ones to use it.

I guess I'm just lucky. Hubby always keeps the bathroom pretty clean. It's me and my dripping makeup that tends to get everywhere.

I like to use vinegar and baking soda to clean the sinks and toilets.

A lot of mine are not-so-natural but homemade also. Love the vinegar fabric softener! Also works really well if you've left the clothes in the wash too long to get rid of that musty smell. One round of vinegar usually does the trick, but if you've left them for a REALLY long time, a round of baking soda after the vinegar will work wonders.

Agreed with the fabric softener Febreze. I tend to use it in the regular carpets... less so on things like rugs.
