Did you have a preggo friend!?

So... on an UPLIFTING note.. one of my very best friends told us last night that she is EXPECTING again!!! It means our little ones will be about 4 months apart.. I am ecstatic! She has a 2 year old.. so I already will be turning to her for advice, but I am so happy I won't be in this preggo boat solo for the remaining months :)

Did you ladies have a close preggo friend for your journey too?

Actually, with my last three pregnancies, I had the SAME friend pregnant with me all three times. It was awesome that we could share symptoms, compare growth of the belly, and just had a friend who "got" it. I couldn't have been happier. I have another friend who I was pregnant with with Makenzie and now with this one. It is also nice as the kids get older, that they have a playmate that is very close to their age, and you trust the parent too.

Yes, with my first, one of my closest friends was pregnant at the same time. Our girls are 2.5 months apart. Another close friend was pregnant at the same time as I was when I was pregnant with our four and last daughter.

Then this last pregnancy, which I lost in June, I was pregnant with my youngest sister who is expecting her first. We were so excited to be going through it together and it kind of made us bond again. We were two weeks apart in our due date. It's kind of bittersweet that she is doing so well, but when her baby will be born I'll be reminded of my loss. :(

Thanks Meg. I feel awful, but with my sister it's hard. I am so excited for her but it's hard to see her Facebook updates with her expanding belly because it's a reminder of where I'd be. I tend to like her posts/photos and then leave it because if I think about it or dwell on it, I'd be on a downward spiral and I do not have time for that - even though it's just grief rearing it's head at the most inconvenient times.

I had a preggo buddy during my first pregnancy. She was about a month ahead of me. She already had two so it was nice to have someone with experience to be prego buddies with. One of her friends was pregnant with her first and was due about a month ahead of my friend who was due about a month ahead of me.

During my second pregnancy I was the one with experience and was prego buddies with a young lady who was due a month after me. We hung out a lot when we were pregnant so our babies knew eachother well before they were even born. She was preclamptic so she got induced way early. Shortly before or shortly after my second was born we found out that she was at the same hospital as we were and that she was being induced. Our children were born 25.5 hours apart so they spent their first 24-48 hours together. We spent most of our time in eachothers rooms.

A couple of ladies that I work with got pregnant shortly before I went on early maternity leave. One is due in November and I don't remember when the other is due. I have been a stay at home mom since 7 weeks before my second was due and she is now 6 mo old and I am finally going back to work. I finally found day care that won't take my entire pay check each week.

That is awesome, to have someone in the hospital with you.

WIth my fifth, my neighbor had her second and we were in the hospital at the same time and our boys are only a day a part. It was kind of neat.

LOL. My husband is going to need a safe house when our girls become teenagers. We have quite a while before that happens at least.
