Baby Blog?

Ladies.. did you/do you.. keep a blog since you have had a little one? I used to blog often.. then it got to time consuming since I work online 24/7 anyways.. by evening I need to detach.. so I nixed my personal blog.

Sometimes I feel like I need to start up again to chronicle things more.. but then other times I feel like I need to just be "in the moment" and not fret if I didn't upload a picture of my morning walk.. can you relate?

I think I have found a happy medium though.. Instagram! I have been on it for well over a year.. and it just works for me. I am a very visual person.. so pictures are my jam.. and it lets you add small captions or words to remember what was going on, where you were, etc.. and I love it.

As I beat myself up about not blogging throughout my journey so far, I opened my IG feed and realized I have really been journaling, via pictures, for years now.. and I love it.. and it's less stress - at least for me :)

Tell me.. do you have a blog? Did you? Do you wish you did? Do you feel like you should remember the moments more or just relax?

I use to blog for family on a personal blog but then my blog became my source of income and I blog more for the income than the personal stories.

Hmmm...not so much because I found people to be far too judgmental. I am not a controversial blogger and am quite sensitive so blogging about reviews and products is more neutral ground. I do not have to defend my parenting, my beliefs, etc. I do try to do a couple personal posts a week because I think my readers like that part of it too, especially now that we are farming. Farming intrigues them for some reason.

I don't always avoid burnout. I do have three contributing writers so that helps when I have enough reviews to go around. When I do feel burned out I take a break, but still post my paid posts, I may not blog 7 days/week, it may only be 3/week....since my husband is laid off, the pressure is already there to earn more money. It has been since his first lay off because he returned to work after 20 months but took a job that paid less than half of what he previously earned.
