Birth Announcements and Photography.

Okay so I never got the chance to do birth announcements for my daughter, and even though she's nine months now I want my family and friends to have a memory of when she was first born, the picture is a picture I took myself, being that I'm studying photography. Also, even though I do photography I was wondering if you ladies could help me with a great place to do my birth announcements and a great photography location as in JCPenny or should I use a professional photographer or myself?

It's cheaper to do it yourself but that's up to you. I do my own and print them at rite aid.

I use a toy when I'm snapping pics, it's hard to get the best but just keep trying, also use the continuous shots if you have that on your camera.

Hold her toy above the camera and snap the pic.

You could save money and do it yourself and spend the money you would have spent on a photographer on a cute outfit and a photoshop program so you can edit photos later on too...and then you can get whatever shot you want...and you can try try again if she isn't in a good mood ect..

We never did birth announcements either ... but it seems like a fun thing to do! Our family is so large we usually just update them at christmas with a christmas photo!
