I appreciate talented people

The talented person I appreciate today is our friend/piano teacher who was able to create a new bodice piece for our daughter's dress! It didn't take her long either. She looks at it, fits it on my daughter, plays around with it and voila! At least we know how she did it if we run into something like this again.

I appreciate talented people

I know, me too, Lisa. I made my girls Liberty Day dresses when they were little and they turned out fine but now that they are developed in the chest...totally out of my element. I can do skirts but any dresses for myself (a whopping total of 2) I had help of experienced seamstresses. I've never tried blouses, started them but didn't finish them when the older girls were little.

B plans to finish up her dress today. She got the wrong size zipper so she can get everything done but the zipper until we get back to Jo-Ann's. I'll be sure to post the finished product once she'd done.

She mistakenly got a 9" (right color and I think that's what she was focused on) but needs a 22", quite the difference in length!

Oh wow that's quite a difference, she must not have been paying attention to the size.

We didn't make it to Jo-Ann's over the weekend, but she got the bodice done, her mop cap and she was putting the ruffle on her sleeves today. It took her three tries with one because she kept lining it up wrong, but she finally got it and is excited! I'd say she'll be done in a day or two, except for the zipper.
