..somewhat schedule!?

Ah!

Mamas.. Monroe is 17 days old.. I know it's never too early to attempt a schedule of sorts with a baby.. I feel like I am just now getting this bf'ing thing going and SOMEWHAT down.. but I was curious how you even BEGIN putting a baby on a schedule.. we are still figuring each other out I feel like.. knowing exactly when he's hungry, when he's full, what cry means what.. am I super behind already, or can you just give me any tips how you slowly attempted a schedule with your little one?

We don't have an exact schedule but it's kinda developing slowly. She eats when hungry probably every 2 to 3 hours, lots of diaper changes, play and tummy time after half hour from eating. Just roll with it, my life revolves around her.

At that stage we just mainly followed her cues! Eventually a pattern started to emerge, we'd notice she'd like to eat just about every 2 hours, I started to notice the times of day she would get sleepy, how many times a day she liked to nap. We basically let her lead the way and from there we were able to establish a pattern. That early the only things I really did do was a morning and bedtime routine. I tried to have us in bed around the same time every night, tried to do the same things every night so eventually she would know what to expect. For naps I let her sleep whenever she was sleepy for as long as she wanted

around 3-4 months was when a more solid schedule started to emerge...but keep in mind the schedule constantly evolves! As they start to sleep more at night, eat further apart, nap more regularly...

I think at that young of an age there is no such thing as a schedule lol. They eat, sleep, pee poop when they want and mommas just try to do everything they need to in between. I think it took us a couple of months to actually get in the hang of a routine. But personally I think routines are great to have when babies get older maybe 9 months and older. If possible lol.
