Labor and Delivery

This might sound like a silly question but I'm curious to know if labor and delivery could be genetic? Meaning, your mother had to have c-sections because of issues so you might have the chance of going through the same thing? OR your mother had you 3 weeks early or 2 weeks late and you followed those same footsteps when it was your time around!

I'm just curious to know if any of you have had the same or similar experience to what your mother went through with you!

This might be a crazy thought, but I thought it's worth a shot in asking.

You actually have a lot of ability to impact if you have a c-section or not. Talk to your doctor, make sure they know what you want. As long as you and the baby are not at risk you can have the baby naturally. They wanted me to have a c-section because my labor was taking so long. My husband and I both said no. It was a huge help for me that my husband could stand up for me and that he and I agreed on what we wanted. Just don't let yourself get pushed into something you don't want.
Its really hard to say, even with genetics every women's body is different. My mom was late delivering me and had to have a C-section, and I gave birth to both my daughters like 2 1/2 weeks early and had natural easy labor and deliveries, Thank God :)
