Me too!

Also having this problem... I'm on day 39, and I've never been irregular. But only have had one period since my son was born.

It varies. No breastfeeding may not be a completely effective birth control but it can be if you are exclusively breastfeeding. I found that if I didn't sleep with my babies or once I introduced solids my cycles came back sooner or the less I nursed. From my experience, the absence of your cycle is determined by the amount of time baby spends at the breast and with mom. That's why in many countries women have 2-3 years between babies because they wear their babies, exclusively breastfeed and practice extended breastfeeding. I'd read any of La Leche League's breastfeeding books about breastfeeding over a doctor's advice to be honest, unless they are a certified lactation consultant, which most are not.

I breastfeed and got one period when my daughter was about 5 weeks old. Then nothing until she was 5 months old. I was still exclusively breastfeeding at that point, we didn't start solids until later. When my period did come back it was really weird. My cycles were super short, like 21-23 days. They're just now starting to go back to normal but they're still kind of short. My daughter is 8 months old and still breastfeeds. I think it's just because breastfeeding messes with your hormones.

breastfeeding itself is not birth control. It does make it a bit harder to conceive because you're body is putting all of it's energy to the child you have. It's still definitely possible to get pregnant if you don't use other birth control.

Did you take a pregnancy test? I would just in case but it could just be irregular because of breastfeeding.
