just dance sweat mode woohoo!
oh good for you! I need to do this too!
yes when I don't feel like leaving the house I also am a co instructor for my sons martial arts class I competed in martial arts my whole life
That's neat. Our children have expressed an issue in martial arts, mostly for self-defense. We just haven't found a way to fit our schedule or come up with the money yet to allow them to participate. Do you think it's good for teaching self-control? I've heard things like that and wondered if it's true. Thought as an instructor you could have some good input.
It does teach self control but just make sure you check out the instructor. A good head instructor will help kids be aware of when force is needed and let them know that if something arises that you should try every other avenue first. It also helps kids with self control in other areas like acting out for attention because they get it in class, and patience learning to wait their turn to do whatever activity they are doing.
I would just go in and ask to watch a class you can see if the kids seem to be having fun and listening you can tell. I would ask how long he has been teaching and if he has any kind of certifications ( some people get certified to instruct threw the black belt association in their exact type of practice).
