Attempting our routine! :)
Right now.. Monroe is 3 weeks old.. I was clueless a week ago how to even START setting up sleep habits or a routine.. but then I got some advice and really thought about it.. even creating a "routine" can help.. sure it won't happen to a tee every night or go exactly as planned.. but consistency is KEY! So right now, after his last late night feeding, 9 or 10 pm.. we change him into his jammies, swaddle him, turn the lights down, rock him a bit until he seems sleepy and lay him in his bassinet. We've done this the past few nights and it seems to help trigger when sleep time is! Then, throughout the night, when he wakes to eat, I feed him, we change him and quickly swaddle, rock and lay back down in his bassinet, keeping lights at a minimum! Oh also, noise.. we are using the SAME white noise each time he sleeps at night.. this "ocean" sound... so hopefully that will start triggering when night time is! It's different from the noise for naptime!
