Where can you find legitimate work from home jobs?

I know I have worked really hard to find work from home jobs. When I first started in 2008, it was a matter of scouring the internet and reaching out to those who I thought might want or need a Virtual Assistant.

The way I got a couple of clients was through the Small Business Center. Though they cannot actually disclose clients names or refer you to people, I was simply given the name of two possible businesses who might be in need of help. I started as an intern working for product in exchange for my services. One of those clients became paying until we parted ways.

I have also worked on a call team, which was another lead from the Small Business Center but it was a family member who I was referred to. That gig lasted about six months

I worked with an author briefly. Authors nowadays quite often need a hand in marketing and social media management.

Then I started making a little money blogging and decided to make a go of blogging and that has become my main source of income besides my paper route. I like my paper route because my family doesn't realize I am gone because I do it in the early morning hours when they are asleep. I do mind missing out on my sleep, but am grateful I can usually catch another couple of hours sleep once I get home.

I also worked for a virtual assistant team and for individual virtual assistants as a subcontractor.

I have tried Craigslist but nothing has ever panned out for anything I came across there.

I haven't tried this but a fellow blogger referred me when she heard my husband was getting laid off https://www.alpineaccessjobs.com She had good things to say about them. You are an employee but you work from home.

Referrals is what has worked best for me.

I know I do too, Meg. Thanks!
Great post Theresa!! Do you still work from home?
Have any of you guys ever tried any of the It Works products. My fiance introduced them to me as he had seen a lot of his friends using/loving them and having great success in selling them. I worked 50-60 hours a week as a property manager, and I was desperate to try anything new that kept my son from having to go to daycare for up to 11 hours a day. I was very skeptical, but after using the skinny wrap and losing 9 inches in my waist after only one wrap, I was hooked. Then I realized that I knew a bunch of mommies that would also love to get rid of the baby belly!

In the beginning I only had time to work the business on the weekends and post things on facebook, but after a few short months of working as much as I could, I was able to quit the same job I had been at for 15 years!

It has truly been a blessing. If any of you would like to learn more about the products to help get you tone for summer, or you would like to learn about the incredible business opportunities, send me a message. I would love to help you and your family reach financial freedom!! :-)

What I do now is refer for Fortune 500 companies. It really is "legit", although some people think it isn't ... but it is real and it pays. It's basically online marketing and what you do is post ads that people respond to. Then they go to a website where the Fortune 500 companies offer free and low cost "trials" on their products or services. When they agree to do the trial offers, you get paid fees of $20 and $30. It isn't much work and it's simple if you have basic computer skills, can follow instructions by the detail, and can spend about 2-4 hours/day. If anyone is interested, you can email me at deb4dollars@gmail.com and I'll send the link. I'm also willing to give details on how to do this, even though training is provided, I can give tips on how to make it work (for example where and where not to post your ads).
