Genetics and Early Labor

Doctors understand very little about what actually triggers a women to go into labor. Genetics, such as your mom having a baby early, probably are not going to put you at higher risk for going into labor early. Other factors such as the shape of your uterus or pelvis, the way your hormones are released from your pituitary gland or ovaries for example can effect when you will go into labor and technically our genetics play a part in that.
