bacterial vaginosis

Hi Moms, I'm 28 and a half weeks pregnant and I've been diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis for the 4th time this pregnancy. Has anyone else gone through this very embarrassing and frustrating ordeal? I took the pill orally twice and the vaginal gel the third time. I've been prescribed the same gel this time but I have a feeling it will come back eventually. I even started eating yogurt to maybe help what's going on down there. Does anyone have any suggestions or home remedies to prevent it from coming back? Please help. Thanks!

Drink lots of water and cranberry juice too. Don't wear tight clothing down bellow and good luck hope you don't get it again.

I don't know much about it but just quickly googled it and the three most common suggestions are:

      Not having sex
Limiting your number of sex partners
      Not douching

This is different than a yeast infection, from what I read, right?

Very different, yeast infection is fungal and bacterial vaginosis is a bacteria. Bacteria needs to be treated with antibiotics. Bacteria can spread or keep coming back if not fully treated.

First thing I would do is stop having sex. Make sure you take the medication exactly as instructed and take it in full. Make sure you shower daily. Do not douche or clean your vaginal area with soap, just water. Drink plenty of water. Wear cotton underwear and give yourself naked time. Good luck!
