SAHM

I'm very fortunate that I work from home but I am worried how I will manage a baby at home while also getting my work done. I guess I will figure out a routine that works best when the time comes!

I've been home with my daughter from day 1 and started my own business when she was only 4weeks old. It is definitely challenging but you'll find what works for you. A routine is great, but doesn't always work. You just have to work whenever you can. Sometimes I have to wait until my husband get's home to watch Avery so I can cram a few hours of solid work in. It's a little sad to miss out on family time but it doesn't happen too often. I work mostly during nap time but I'm not sure what I'll do when she starts napping less. Hopefully she'll get more independent at the same time so she can play on her own while I work.

Good luck and welcome to the WAHM club :)

I work as a freelance graphic designer. I got most of my clients through networking but that can be hard. What are your marketable skills? Do you have experience with data entry, sales, customer service, or as a personal assistant?

I know a few sites to find telecommute jobs, but it depends on what your skill set is. You should never have to pay any upfront money for legitimate online work. Let me know what you're interested in and I'll let you know if I know if any sites that could work for you.

I think you need childcare if you want to get a substantial amount done.

I don't know... I think it depends on what you do. I don't have any child care and I get enough done to make as much as would have if I'd kept my job and paid for daycare. The only time I have help is if my mom watches my daughter while I attend an in-person meeting. So far that has only happened twice. Of course my job isn't about how many hours is spend in something, it's about the quality I deliver.

It depends on the industry your in, your clients, and how you manage your time.
