Bridal Dress.. Needs to Go!

So long story short.. I ended up having to pay $300 for a bridesmaid dress that I never ever ever got to wear... nor did I receive any money back for it... (not happy to say the least).. I was just wondering if any of you Mamas knew of a place online I could sell it.. get SOMETHING for it? Goodness, we could buy a crib for that! Makes me blood boil a bit... lol

I had the same ideas as Mara. Craigslist but as much as Craigslist has helped us with farm stuff, we've also come across some weird people - no shows, contacting us when they really are not interested in what we were selling etc.

So did she not go through with the wedding or what? (May I ask that?) Isn't it customary if the wedding doesn't happen to return gifts, money etc. so wouldn't that include bridal party dresses and tux rentals too?

Craigslist is scary. And don't even get me started about the hay guys we came across on there.....argh!

Ugh! You may ask, I don't mind at all.. It was called off about 6 weeks beforehand.. but they were still "together".. said we would use them another time.. which I was like mmmk. Then hello.. they broke up for good.. and didn't offer to pay any portion :( I have kind of been disheartened.. I don't think I could sleep at night knowing I wasn't TRYING to pay my bridesmaids back at least.. ugh.

And oh no... the hay guys!? eeek eeek!

I know some consignment stores will take them especially around prom time, or ebay. Or you could make some REALLY expensive pillows, lol.

I was thinking the same thing, make something out of it, but it is a $300 dress and Meg does want to get rid of it.....you don't want reminders, do you Meg? ;)

I rented my dress and I'm happy with this decision)
I would say - try to look at bright side of this) You have a dress and you also can get some money from it))
Cragslist and Ebay are the best ways. but I'd also try find some local classifieds too.
