Possibly a heated discussion? Who is in?!

Arizona. You all know about this right? They tried to pass a bill that would allow establishments to have the right to refuse service to gays, transgenders and bisexuals based on their religious beliefs!!?

I love Jesus. Jesus is love. This is wrong to me on so many levels .. Everyone can believe what they want and disagree how they want but this is racism. This is segregation.

Thoughts?

And just FYI ladies... This is an OPEN discussion, not a bashing of views. I'm Akways generally interested in others opinions and thoughts, especially ones that would support this bill.. Even though I'm against it totally.. I'm fascinated by your opinions.. And where u come from.
So, no bashing please. Keep it real and non abrasive and we could probably all learn something from the other.

Lets hear it!!! Especially those I'm interested who are Christians as I am. But are for this bill !!!

Thank you!!

Okay.. here is my two cents and where I come from...

        I am a practicing Catholic.

        I have gay friends.

I believe it's not MY place to place judgement, it's not my job at the end of someone else's life to have looked down on them.. if they are not hurting me.. and if they are happy, then who am I to judge? Actually, the Pope has come out saying things along the same lines lately, not outcasting homosexuals like previously pretty much stated by the church... so..

I too think it's segregation and quite awful. It's heart breaking.

I'm a Muslim I don't not believe homosexuality is a sin. I was raised Christian and even then I did not think the Leviticus ment what main stream Christians say it does. However, back to the point No it should be illegal and I believe it should be added to the list of protective statuses we have in the US (religion, race, sex, disability) which are ILLEGAL to discriminate against. I think sexual orientation should be added to this list. A lot of people think that a business can chose not to serve anyone thats completely untrue. If it can be proven that, any of those things were the reason they were discriminated against then they have a hell of a law suit on their hands.

I support gay rights 100% because they are basic human rights. I support equal rights for all humans, race, gender, religious beliefs, sexual orientation and whatever else should not matter. I do not support using religion to judge or hate others. We should all treat each other with live and respect, differences and all.

I think it's great that the majority of Christians and Catholics now are supportive of Human rights (Gay rights).. it's really, to me.. NOT an issue of religion.. and I'm a Christian too.. It really is a fear based point of view for people to want to be against others based on something they believe is wrong..

I think the law is archaic... and a waste of our time and money.

I don't expect people to accept others that I do.. I do expect people to treat them respectfully.. love is love.. just be kind.. you don't have to be besties with them.. but be nice.. or just don't be cruel..

Thank you everyone for coming in!!!! I love this!!!!
