Know that YOU are uniquely and wonderfully made!
When I was a single mom I thrived on my relationship with girlfriends. We had a group of 10 (all single moms) and we created a barter network as well as Claim a Kid day.
Each of us had talents and we would use those strengths to barter. For example, I hate to cook. Just the sight of raw meat makes me want to throw up, however I'm really good at fixing things and using power tools. My friend, Joann, loved to cook and she was (still is) fantastic at it.
I would help Joann around the house with minor repairs in exchange for a home-cooked meal. My kids loved it!
We bartered like this throughout our group. We also started "Claim a Kid Day", wherein we would take turns watching each others kids for up to 3 hours at a time. This worked great for grocery shopping, going to doctor's appointments, or just taking a quiet bubble bath.
Single mom, you matter! You are talented! You are powerful! You are courageous! You were created by design!
