That sounds like a case of jealousy, and if the 10-yr-old has been an only child up to now, that makes sense. Maybe the 10-yr-old could help with the baby. Can he/she feed the baby when you're busy or just rock him when he's fussy? Maybe a feeling of being a big helper (plus many thanks from mom for being such a big help) will overcome the jealousy.

    In addition to the things you mentioned, I think keeping the same routine and doing as much the same things with the ten year old as possible. My sister was ten when our youngest sister was born and I think she missed the one on one time she had with my parents, especially my dad who would often take her fishing etc.
