Early Baby

Sometimes moms go into preterm labor and the baby is born early. There are a number of risk factor for having a preemie such a poor prenatal care, smoking, drug use, teen mom, advanced maternal age, multiples and more. Make sure you understand any risk factors that affect you and learn what warning signs to watch for. If you have any symptoms of a preterm labor make sure you seek medical treatment. If you have had a previous preterm birth your risk is higher for having another preterm labor in the future. Sometimes a mom does everything right and has no risk factors and her baby is still born early. There is not really anyway to tell what your risk of an early labor is. Talk to your doctor about any specific risks related to your health.
